Cybercrime and identity theft continue to rise every year, targeting people of all ages and backgrounds. Fraudsters use email, phone calls, fake websites, and even physical mail to try and steal personal information. Staying safe starts with awareness and a few smart habits can make a big difference in protecting your identity and finances.
To help you protect yourself against cybercrimes and identity theft, we’re proud to host an exclusive Cybersecurity and Identity Theft Protection Seminar presented by retired FBI Special Agent Jeff Lanza on Wednesday, December 3, at 9:45 a.m. in the Clubhouse II Auditorium at Leisure World.
This free educational event is open to all Leisure World residents to provide practical insights on how to protect yourself from today’s most common cyber threats and scams.
During the presentation, “Simple Safeguards: How to Stay Safe from Identity Theft and Cybercrime,” Jeff Lanza will share expert tips on how to:
- Prevent identity theft through social security and credit report protection
- Recognize and avoid online scams, phishing attempts, and fraudulent calls
- Protect your computer and mobile devices from ransomware and malware
- Strengthen your passwords and online security habits
- Safeguard your personal information and digital footprint
