Board of Directors Election

Any candidate not selected to run by the Nominating Committee has the option of running by petition by obtaining the authorized signatures of one percent (1%) of the total Signal Financial membership (229 as of 10/31/19). For the purpose of verification, these authorized signatures must be accompanied by the member’s printed name and address. Nominations by Petition must be received no later than February 11, 2020. If no Nominations by Petition are submitted by February 11, 2020, the election will not take place, and the candidates above will be elected to the Board by acclamation. If one or more Nominations by Petition are submitted, voting will be conducted by mail.

Board of directors Candidates

The Signal Financial members described below are running for two vacant positions on the Board of Directors. The members of the Board of Directors establish policies for Signal Financial Federal Credit Union and are also responsible for the direction of the credit union. Board of Directors officials serve as volunteers.

Jon Morrison

Incumbent

I have been a member of Signal Financial FCU for over 16 years and have served as a volunteer for the last thirteen years. During that time I have fulfilled responsibilities to the members, including the last 10 years as a Director. I am currently serving as your Treasurer and Chairman of the Asset/Liability Committee. I have previously served as Vice Chairman of the Board, Chairman of the Information Systems, Member Services, Security and Volunteer Committees and Chairman of the Supervisory (Audit) Committee.

I am seeking election to continue to work with the membership and staff as we seek to further modernize our Credit Union and to enhance our capabilities to provide new services and improve those services we currently offer. I will continue to seek to grow Signal Financial FCU while maintaining our strong financial foundation.

Mark Fieni

Incumbent

As a certified public accountant, my career has been in finances with experience in telecommunications, commercial construction, health care administration, life and health insurance sales and defense contracting industries. Being a member of Signal Financial for more than 30 years, I’ve served on supporting committees to the board as well as chaired the Supervisory Committee and Information Technology/Security committees.

I am seeking election because I have served as a dedicated and loyal volunteer for more than 11 years at the credit union; and I am excited to continue my service to our membership and in the support of the professional staff. I look forward to continuing my dedication and commitment of time and service to this institution, and to continue making positive contributions to the growth and success of the credit union.
