Signal Financial Signature VISA credit card

Want a card that offers cash back on every purchase?

Choose the Signature card.   The new Signature Visa® card1 is for members looking for cash back rewards. We’ve made it easy to transfer your balances from higher-rate cards

Balance transfers are easy, no matter which credit card you have. As an introductory offer, make no fee balance transfers6 for the first 12 months after card activation. For transfers made after that, a fee of $10 or 2.5% of the transfer (whichever is greater) will apply.

You’ll also get a promotional APR5 of 0% on transferred balances for the first 12 months after the transfer6. The standard variable rate for your card will apply to any remaining transferred balance after 12 months. This offer is available throughout the life of your card.

Credit card holders can now get quarterly updates on their FICO® Scores. To view your score, log into eBanking, click on the Credit Card tab, and then click on the FICO® Score button.

Check your score several months before you plan to apply for a large loan such as a mortgage or auto loan. Checking regularly will help you understand your credit and how it might affect your financial life. We recommend that members also request a free copy of their credit report every year at annualcreditreport.com.

Signal Financial members who have Visa debit or credit cards may set up purchase alerts for their cards. Be notified when a purchase made with your card:

  • was above a certain dollar amount
  • was made outside the US
  • was made online or over the phone

Purchase alerts can notify card holders almost immediately when their card has been used without authorization, and help reduce fraud, which is a good thing both for members and for the credit union.

VISA Purchase Alerts Quick Guide

1 Annual Percentage Rate (APR) for the Signature Visa credit card may vary and not all applicants will qualify for the lowest rate. The interest rate for purchases, cash advances, and balance transfers is determined by the Prime Rate published in the Money Rates section of the Wall Street Journal. If the prime rate has changed on the last day of the quarter, your APR will change within the first fifteen (15) days of the next quarter. Minimum interest rate for the Signature Visa is 15.00%; maximum interest is 18.00%. Interest rates for the Signature Visa card consist of the Prime Rate + margin and depend on the member’s creditworthiness. Rates, benefits, and fees are subject to change at any time without notice. Cash back benefits apply only to purchases made with the member’s Signature Visa credit card. Member must be in good standing to receive cash back benefits. Cash back will be removed from the member’s account if the qualifying purchase is returned/refunded. Cash back is credited to the member’s credit card account at the end of each billing cycle.

2 3% total cash back will be earned on transactions made with airlines, hotels, and motels starting November 1, 2021. 2% total cash back will be earned on transactions at restaurants, grocery stores, and automated gasoline dispensers starting November 1, 2021. 1% cash back is a standard feature of the Signature Visa credit card and applies to all valid purchases made with a Signature Visa credit card, subject to other restrictions, starting November 1, 2021. In accordance with standard industry practices, merchants are assigned a merchant category code (MCC) typically based on their line of business, or the type of products and/or services they primarily sell or provide. Signal Financial FCU does not assign MCCs to merchants. Even if you make purchases at a merchant of items that appear to fit in a rewards category, the merchant may not have an assigned MCC in that rewards category. Cash back will be credited to the member’s credit card account at the end of each billing cycle for purchases made at qualifying merchants.

3 There is no annual fee for the Signal Platinum Visa card. A foreign transaction fee equal to 1% of the transaction amount will be applied to foreign transactions made with the Platinum card. CURewards points are valid for 5 years. 4 The annual fee for the Signal Direct Visa card is waived the first year. The fee imposed each year thereafter is $25. The annual fee is waived each year for cardholders who conduct a minimum $1,000 in transactions using the credit card over a 12-month period. A foreign transaction fee equal to 1% of the transaction amount will be applied to foreign transactions made with the Direct card. Annual Percentage Rate (APR) may vary. The interest rate for purchases, cash advances, and balance transfers is determined by the Prime Rate published in the Money Rates section of the Wall Street Journal. If the prime rate has changed on the last day of the quarter, your APR will change within the first fifteen (15) days of the next quarter. Minimum interest rate is 13.00%; maximum interest is 18.00%. Interest rates for the Direct card consist of the Prime Rate + margin. The rate is calculated in the following manner: Prime Rate + 15.00%. Rates, benefits, and fees are subject to change at any time.

5 APR = Annual Percentage Rate. 0% APR on all purchases and balance transfers for the first 12 months after card activation. Rate for any remaining purchase and balance transfers will revert to the card’s variable rate, 13.00%–18% depending on creditworthiness and credit card type, after the first 12 months. Rates and fees are subject to change at any time without notice. Refer to your most recent statement for your current standard variable rate. A foreign transaction fee of 1.00% applies to all credit cards except Signature.

6 No balance transfer will be charged for the first 12 months after card activation. For any new balance transfers initiated 12 months or more after card activation, a fee of $10 or 2.5% of the transfer/advance (whichever is greater) will apply.

7 Credit cardholders can now see their FICO® Scores in the online credit card management site (Visa Access Point), accessible on the Credit Card tab in eBanking. The score we show is the same one we use to evaluate your credit when you apply for a loan, and is updated quarterly. The score shown is that of the primary account holder.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day
