The Direct card does not tie into a rewards program.

We’ve made it easy to transfer your balances from higher-rate cards

No matter which card you choose, get 0% APR5 on purchases and balance transfers for the first 6 months, with no balance transfer fee.6 After that, the variable APR will be 9.5%–18% depending on your creditworthiness and credit card type.

With a balance transfer, you get the benefit of our new cards before you even make any purchases. Our low rates after the introductory period plus the other features of our cards, such as FICO® Scores and Card Lock, make Signal credit cards keep their value over time. The benefits that come from credit union membership just got even better!

To apply for a balance transfer, contact our Consumer Lending Department at 301-933-9100, ext. 105 or email consumerlending@signalfinancialfcu.org.

All new cards can be managed with the Card Lock app

All of the new credit cards come with Card Lock ability for improved security. Card Lock allows the cardholder to lock or unlock a card using a mobile app. The switch can happen instantly, so if you lose your wallet, or leave your card somewhere, now you can lock it until you find it again, and avoid having to have your card canceled and re-issued until you know for sure it’s been compromised.

See your FICO® Score on your statement

Credit cardholders can now see their FICO® Scores right on their credit card statements, and in their eBanking account on the credit cards tab. The score we show is the same one we use to manage your account once you’ve become a member, and is updated quarterly. This new feature allows members with credit cards to stay up to date with their credit score.

Check your score several months before you plan to apply for a large loan such as a mortgage or auto loan. Checking regularly will help you understand your credit and how it might affect your financial life. We recommend that members also request a free copy of their credit report every year at annualcreditreport.com.
